Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Engineer for a remote contract to assess and improve client operations using data modeling, simulation, and performance metrics from a home office in or near Upington (or elsewhere).

You will work independently on multiple projects, deliver reports with ROI, and collaborate with stakeholders remotely. A strong analytics background and Lean/Six Sigma familiarity are highly valued.

Formación

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial engineering roles focused on operations analysis and efficiency improvement.
• Proven experience in consulting or leading operational improvement projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with expertise in data analysis and interpretation.
• Proficiency with process modeling software, simulation tools, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is a significant advantage.
• Experience across multiple industries is preferred.
• Strong client-facing and relationship-building skills.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct comprehensive operational assessments for clients to identify areas of inefficiency and opportunity.
• Analyze business processes, workflows, and resource allocation to develop optimization strategies.
• Utilize quantitative analysis, simulation, and modeling techniques to evaluate process performance.
• Develop data-driven recommendations for improving productivity, reducing costs, and enhancing service levels.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations outlining findings, recommendations, and projected ROI.
• Collaborate remotely with client stakeholders to understand operational challenges and present solutions.
• Assist clients in the implementation of approved operational improvement initiatives.
• Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies in operations management.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables effectively in a remote consulting setting.
• Measure and report on the impact of implemented changes on client operations.
