Placements24 is seeking a visionary Lead Mechanical Engineer to drive strategic mechanical design initiatives from a fully remote location. You will lead a cross-functional team of engineers, shape technical roadmaps, and ensure successful delivery of complex systems for international partners.

The role requires deep expertise in mechanical design, materials, and manufacturing, with strong FEA/CFD and advanced CAD skills, plus exceptional leadership and remote collaboration abilities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent advanced degree.
• 10+ years in mechanical engineering with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Experience leading remote engineering teams.
• Deep expertise in mechanical design, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in FEA, CFD, and advanced CAD software.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic planning abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers in the design and development of complex systems.
• Define and implement the technical roadmap for mechanical engineering initiatives.
• Oversee the creation of detailed design specifications, drawings, and documentation using advanced CAD tools.
• Conduct rigorous design reviews and ensure adherence to industry best practices and quality standards.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively in a remote setting.
• Facilitate technical problem-solving and innovation across distributed engineering teams.
