Placements24 is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for a fully remote, globally distributed team. You will lead the design and development of advanced mechanical systems, driving technical excellence and product innovation across geographies.

The role requires a Master's in Mechanical Engineering with 8+ years of design experience, fluency in 3D CAD tools, and hands-on leadership of complex projects.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of mechanical product design and development experience.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD and advanced simulation tools; experience with FEA/CFD.
• Experience leading complex design projects and providing technical direction.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials science, and DFM/DFA.
• Proven track record in fully remote engineering roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptualization, design, and development of complex mechanical systems and components from inception to production.
• Conduct in-depth engineering analysis, including FEA and CFD, to optimize design performance and reliability.
• Specify materials, select components, and define manufacturing processes to meet product requirements.
• Collaborate with international design, manufacturing, and product management teams through advanced virtual communication platforms.
• Develop comprehensive design documentation, including detailed 3D models, 2D drawings, and technical specifications.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to ensure high-quality design outputs.
