Placements24 is seeking a proactive Remote IT Support Specialist to join a distributed team. You will provide comprehensive technical assistance entirely remotely, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues for employees across multiple locations.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work independently in a fully remote setting. A global, flexible support schedule is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT support or help desk, preferably in remote capacity.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS and common business apps.
• Experience with network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and remote support tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely technical support to end-users via remote channels.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and software.
• Assist with user account management (setup/modification/deletion).
• Document support interactions and resolutions in the ticketing system.
• Escalate complex problems to senior IT staff when needed.
