Placements24 is seeking a proactive Remote IT Support Specialist to join a distributed technical support team. You will diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for employees and clients using phone, email, and remote access tools.

The role emphasizes strong communication, technical acumen, and the ability to troubleshoot independently from a home office. You will document requests in the helpdesk system and assist with IT asset management.

Qualifications

• Proven IT support experience, preferably with remote duties.
• Strong communication and troubleshooting skills in a remote setting.
• Proficient with Windows and macOS, Office apps, and common business tools.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and basic network troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provide first- and second-level IT support to end-users via phone, email, and remote tools.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
• Escalate complex problems to higher-level teams when needed and track resolutions.
• Document all support requests and solutions in the helpdesk system.
• Assist with IT asset management, including deployment and configuration of new equipment.
