Placements24 is seeking a motivated IT Support Apprentice to join its Rustenburg team in a hybrid role that blends remote work with in-person collaboration. You will gain hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking while supporting staff across departments.

The structured apprenticeship offers mentorship, exposure to diverse IT environments, and opportunities to obtain industry certifications as you build a career in IT support.

Qualifications

• Interest in Information Technology and passion for problem solving.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows/macOS), and networking concepts.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Matric certificate or equivalent qualification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support to end-users, remotely and in the office.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
• Assist with user account management and access control.
• Document technical issues and solutions in the IT helpdesk system.
• Participate in IT projects and system upgrades as required.
