Placements24 seeks a remote Business Development Manager to expand its InsurTech footprint in the South African market. The role focuses on identifying new clients, building long-term relationships, and driving adoption of innovative technology solutions.

You will lead strategic BD plans, deliver compelling product demonstrations, and collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to close deals and ensure client success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business-related field required.
• 5+ years in BD, sales or account management in InsurTech/FinTech/SaaS.
• Proven track record of meeting/exceeding B2B sales targets.
• Deep understanding of insurance industry and tech trends.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prospect potential clients across South Africa in insurance and financial services.
• Develop and execute strategic BD plans to achieve sales targets and grow market share.
• Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers at prospective and existing clients.
• Articulate how InsurTech solutions address client needs and deliver value.
• Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and tailored proposals.
• Negotiate and close complex sales agreements with favorable terms.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure onboarding and client satisfaction.
• Stay informed about market trends, competitors, and emerging technologies.
• Represent the company at virtual industry events to generate leads.
