Placements24 is seeking a dynamic Remote Lead Human Resources Generalist to guide the HR function for a distributed South African team, including Sandton-based colleagues. This fully remote role offers flexibility to work from anywhere within SA while shaping HR operations and strategy.

You will mentor junior staff, drive remote-first policies, ensure legal compliance, and partner with management to enhance employee experience and organizational efficiency across locations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in HR management, business administration, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Experience managing HR operations for a distributed or remote workforce.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a range of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and HR compliance.
• Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that support a remote-first culture.
• Provide expert HR guidance and support to employees and management across different locations.
• Oversee and mentor junior members of the HR team, fostering their professional development.
• Drive employee engagement initiatives and programs tailored for a remote workforce.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant South African labor legislation and best practices.
