Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a fully remote Human Resources Generalist to support a global, remote-first team across locations. You will handle employee relations, onboarding, HRIS management, and HR administration while ensuring compliance with SA labor laws.

In this role, you will collaborate with the HR team to implement remote-friendly policies, manage data accuracy, and drive engagement. A proactive, detail-oriented communicator with a strong home-office setup will thrive.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience as an HR Generalist, including remote-work experience.
• Strong knowledge of SA labor law and HR compliance.
• Excellent communication and digital collaboration skills.
• Proficient with HRIS platforms and virtual tools (Zoom, Teams, Slack).

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive HR support on matters including employee relations, policy interpretation, and benefits inquiries.
• Manage HRIS and ensure data accuracy.
• Oversee remote onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Develop and implement remote HR policies and procedures.
• Support performance management, goal setting, and feedback.
• Address employee grievances and conduct preliminary investigations.
• Facilitate virtual training and remote engagement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with South African labor laws for remote employees.
• Collaborate with HR team and other departments.
• Maintain HR records in digital formats.
