Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote HR Generalist to support operations across a distributed workforce. You will manage onboarding, offboarding, policies, and benefits while ensuring data integrity in HRIS.

This fully remote role emphasizes a proactive, people-first approach to a flexible, home-based work environment. You will serve as the first point of contact for HR inquiries and contribute to policy development, recruitment support, and employee engagement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, psychology or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as HR Generalist or in a similar role.
• Experience in remote or distributed work setting preferred.
• Familiarity with South African labor laws and employment equity.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency with HRIS and HR software.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day HR operations for a distributed workforce.
• Serve as the first point of contact for HR policies, procedures, and employment matters.
• Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures for a remote workforce.
• Support recruitment efforts, including job postings, screening, and interview coordination.
• Contribute to employee engagement initiatives and promotion of healthy work-life balance.
• Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS system and ensure data integrity for virtual employees.
