Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a versatile Mid-Level HR Generalist for a fully remote role. You will manage a broad spectrum of HR functions, including employee relations, talent management, performance support, and HR compliance, tailored for a remote, globally distributed team.

Ideal candidates hold a BA/BS in HRM or related field and have 3–5 years of HR Generalist experience, with strong knowledge of SA labor law and remote work dynamics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar role, with exposure to remote work environments.
• Solid understanding of HR principles, South African labor law, and recruitment.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day HR operations across locations and remote staff.
• Oversee onboarding and offboarding for remote employees.
• Administer HR policies and ensure compliance.
• Support talent acquisition: sourcing, screening, interviewing.
• Facilitate performance management and employee development.
• Handle employee relations issues with constructive resolutions.
• Assist with compensation and benefits administration.
• Maintain accurate employee data in the HRIS.
• Develop HR initiatives to enhance engagement and culture.
• Stay updated on labor laws affecting remote workers.
