Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support a fully remote workforce. You’ll manage recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and HR administration while ensuring compliance with South African labour law.

You will support performance cycles, maintain HR data in HRIS, and collaborate across time zones. A Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field and 5+ years in generalist HR are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a generalist HR role.
• Proven experience in recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and HR administration.
• Strong knowledge of South African labour law and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in HRIS systems and the full Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated ability to manage tasks and priorities effectively in a remote environment.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Experience in the digital marketing or technology sector is highly advantageous.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving work environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process for various roles within the agency.
• Develop and implement effective onboarding programs for new hires.
• Manage employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to employees and managers.
• Administer HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistent application.
• Support performance management cycles, including goal setting and feedback mechanisms.
• Maintain accurate employee data and HR records in the HRIS.
• Assist with the administration of employee benefits and compensation programs.
• Ensure compliance with South African labour laws and relevant regulations.
• Provide HR support and advice to employees and management across different time zones.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of HR initiatives and projects.
