Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to manage the full employee lifecycle for a fully remote, distributed team across South Africa. You will drive onboarding, maintain HR records, support performance management, and oversee offboarding with confidentiality and care.

You will ensure compliance with South African labour laws, administer HR policies, and partner with managers to foster a positive remote culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of broad HR Generalist experience, preferably remote or distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end onboarding for all new hires.
• Maintain accurate HR records in HRIS.
• Administer HR policies and ensure fair application.
• Support performance management: goals, feedback, development.
• Handle employee queries on benefits, payroll, leave.
• Assist in HR initiatives and projects.
• Manage offboarding, exit interviews, settlements.
• Ensure compliance with South African labour laws.
• Contribute to remote HR process improvements.
• Provide ad-hoc HR reporting support.
