Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote HR Generalist to support a distributed South African workforce, with a focus on the Western Cape region. You will manage onboarding, offboarding, performance, and employee relations across time zones, while ensuring compliance with SA labor laws and company policies.

You will partner with global HR to align strategies locally, drive remote engagement, and support hiring managers in talent acquisition.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of HR Generalist experience.
• Experience handling HR remotely for distributed teams.
• Strong knowledge of SA labor law and EE principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage full employee lifecycle for assigned teams in a remote setting.
• Develop and interpret HR policies compliant with SA labor laws.
• Serve as primary contact for employees and managers on HR queries.
• Collaborate with global HR to tailor strategies locally.
• Support talent acquisition by partnering with managers.
• Drive remote employee engagement initiatives.
• Investigate grievances and disciplinary matters.
• Maintain accurate HR records and data integrity.
• Stay updated on remote-work practices and employment legislation.
