Placements24 is seeking a proactive Remote HR Generalist to support a globally distributed team. The role emphasizes employee relations, policy implementation, and talent management in a fully remote environment.

Familiarity with the Stellenbosch, Western Cape time zone is preferred for smoother collaboration, though the position is globally remote. The candidate will partner with management to drive HR initiatives, ensure policy compliance, and uphold best practices across business units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience with generalist responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of South African labour law and remote work best practices.
• Experience providing HR support in a distributed/remote team environment.
• Proficient in HRIS and virtual collaboration tools and platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote HR support to employees and managers on policies and procedures.
• Manage employee relations issues, investigations, and resolutions remotely.
• Support talent acquisition including posting, sourcing, and interview coordination.
• Assist in performance management processes and employee development.
• Develop, update, and communicate remote HR policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS with confidentiality.
• Contribute to remote employee engagement and retention strategies.
• Ensure compliance with SA labour laws and relevant regulations.
• Support compensation and benefits administration for remote staff.
• Utilize HR technology and virtual collaboration tools effectively.
