Placements24 is seeking a proactive Remote HR Generalist to build and manage its people operations in a fully remote environment. You will oversee recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance management, and compliance across a distributed team.

This hands-on role requires strategic thinking with strong execution, the ability to implement foundational HR processes from scratch, and a focus on an exceptional employee experience in a startup setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HRM/BA or related field.
• 3-5 years of progressive HR experience with strong generalist focus in startup/tech.
• Experience in a fully remote work setting and knowledge of SA labor laws.
• Proficient with HRIS, ATS, and HR tech platforms.

Responsabilités

• Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes: sourcing, interviewing, onboarding.
• Develop and implement remote-first HR policies and procedures.
• Manage employee relations and provide guidance to staff and leadership.
• Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness.
• Support performance management and goal setting with regular reviews.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulatory requirements.
• Develop employee engagement initiatives to strengthen remote culture.
• Maintain HRIS data accuracy and integrity; advise management on HR matters.
• Contribute to strategic HR planning and organizational growth.
