Placements24 is seeking a highly specialized Remote HR Specialist focusing on compliance and policy development to join our globally distributed team. This fully remote role requires a deep understanding of South African labour laws and extensive experience creating and implementing HR policies.

You will translate complex legislation into actionable policies, advise management, conduct policy audits, train staff, and prepare reports for senior leadership while ensuring ethical, legally compliant

Qualifications

Master's degree in a relevant field is required.
6–8 years of HR compliance experience.
Expert knowledge of South African labour legislation and its practical application.
Proven experience developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
Strong analytic, research, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Develop, review, and update HR policies to ensure SA compliance.
Audit HR practices and propose corrective actions.
Advise management on complex compliance matters and legislative changes.
Implement new HR policies across the organisation with communication and training.
Investigate employee relations issues with a focus on compliance and risk mitigation.
Maintain up-to-date labour law knowledge and provide proactive insights.
Develop and deliver training on HR policies and compliance.
