Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Remote HR Specialist focused on compliance to ensure all HR practices align with South African labor laws.

You will monitor legislation, update policies, and conduct audits for an ethical, compliant work environment, supporting the organization remotely with strong attention to detail. The ideal candidate has 4+ years in HR compliance, solid knowledge of BCEA, LRA, EEA, SDA, and can communicate complex legal requirements clearly.

Qualifications

• Degree in Law, Human Resources, or related field.
• 4+ years' experience in HR compliance.
• In-depth knowledge of South African labor law (BCEA, LRA, EEA, SDA).
• Experience in HR investigations and audits.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and explain complex legal requirements clearly.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret changes in labor legislation and advise the organization accordingly.
• Develop, review, and update HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance.
• Conduct regular HR audits to assess compliance risks and identify areas for improvement.
• Manage the employee grievance and disciplinary processes in accordance with legal requirements.
• Develop and deliver compliance training programs to employees and managers.
• Maintain accurate records related to compliance matters and employment equity.
