Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a fully remote HR Generalist with a strong compliance emphasis to ensure all HR practices meet SA labor law and internal standards. This role provides expert guidance on compliance, conducts audits, and supports remote employees and management across all regions.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in HR, deep knowledge of SA labor legislation and experience updating policies, plus strong analytical and communication skills to mitigate risk and drive best practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ HR experience with strong compliance focus.
• In-depth knowledge of SA labor law and HR best practices.
• Experience in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
• Proven ability to conduct HR audits and risk assessments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure comprehensive compliance with SA labor law (BCEA, LRA, EEA) and related legislation.
• Develop and update HR policies and procedures for organizational compliance.
• Conduct regular HR audits and risk assessments to identify improvement areas.
• Provide guidance to management and employees on compliance-related issues.
• Manage employee relations with emphasis on fair process and legal adherence.
• Monitor changes in labor legislation and advise the organization accordingly.
