Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous and proactive Remote HR Compliance Specialist to ensure adherence to South Africa's labor laws across distributed operations. This role focuses on staying updated on legislation, developing and updating HR policies, and conducting regular audits to maintain compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law, HR, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of HR compliance and employment law experience.
• In-depth knowledge of South African labor legislation (BCEA, LRA, EEA, etc.).
• Experience developing and implementing compliance programs and policies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Proven ability to communicate complex legal requirements clearly.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret employment laws and regulations.
• Develop, update and disseminate HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
• Conduct regular internal audits of HR practices, including employment records and compensation.
• Investigate and resolve compliance issues and employee complaints related to regulatory matters.
• Develop and deliver compliance training programs to employees and management.
• Maintain accurate and organized compliance documentation and records.
