Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote HR Compliance Manager to ensure HR practices align with South African labor laws and international standards. You will drive risk-based compliance across the organization, manage audits, and lead training programs from a remote setup.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in HR with strong employment-law knowledge, experience with HRIS systems, and a proactive, detail-oriented approach in a technology-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law or HR or related field required.
• Master’s degree is advantageous for enhanced governance.
• Minimum 6 years in HR with a focus on compliance and employment law.
• Strong knowledge of SA labor legislation and international best practices.
• Experience with HRIS and compliance software.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setup.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain HR compliance programs and policies.
• Ensure adherence to SA labor laws (BCEA, LRA, EEA) and international standards.
• Audit HR practices and systems to identify compliance gaps.
• Investigate and resolve compliance issues and grievances.
• Deliver training on HR compliance to staff and managers.
• Stay updated on labor law changes and advise the organization.
• Manage government reporting such as EEA submissions.
• Oversee fair disciplinary and grievance procedures.
• Advise on contracts and policies for legal compliance.
• Coordinate with legal counsel on HR compliance matters.
