Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced Remote HR Compliance Officer to ensure adherence to all labor laws in South Africa. The role focuses on auditing HR practices, developing compliance policies, and training staff on regulatory requirements in a fully remote setup.

The ideal candidate has a law or HR-related degree, 4+ years in HR compliance, and deep knowledge of SA labor legislation. Remote work from anywhere in SA is supported with strong development opportunities.

Qualifications

Degree in Law or HR/Business or related field required.
Minimum 4 years in HR compliance or labor law advisory roles.
Strong knowledge of South African labor legislation (BCEA, LRA, EEA, SDA, etc.).
Experience auditing HR practices and building compliance frameworks.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently in a fully remote role.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and monitor HR policies to ensure full compliance with SA labor law.
Audit HR practices across recruitment, contracts, payroll, and records.
Investigate compliance issues and implement corrective actions.
Stay updated on labor legislation changes and update policies and training.
Provide guidance and training to staff and management on compliance matters.
Manage reporting to government bodies and document management.
