Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote HR Compliance Officer to ensure adherence to South Africa's employment laws across operations. The role focuses on developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance programs to mitigate risk.

You will conduct audits, address grievances, and provide guidance to HR staff and management while maintaining data privacy. A law or HR background and 5+ years in compliance are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Human Resources, or related field.
• 5+ years of HR compliance or related legal/HR experience.
• Expert knowledge of SA labor legislation (BCEA, LRA, EEA, SDA).
• Experience in HR audits and developing compliance programs.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and report-writing skills.
• Excellent remote communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR compliance policies and procedures.
• Monitor labor law changes and update policies.
• Conduct HR compliance audits and risk assessments.
• Investigate and address compliance issues or grievances.
• Provide training to HR staff and management on compliance matters.
• Maintain records of compliance activities and prepare reports.
