Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an HR Compliance Officer for a fully remote role in South Africa. You will ensure HR policies comply with BCEA, LRA, POPIA, and other laws, and conduct audits and training.

The role requires strong remote collaboration and ability to explain complex compliance requirements to a distributed workforce. Ideal candidates have a law or HR background, 5+ years in HR compliance, and experience drafting policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or related field.
• Master's degree advantageous for progression.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and update HR policies to ensure compliance with SA labour laws (BCEA, LRA, EEA, POPIA, etc.).
• Conduct regular HR compliance audits and risk assessments across units.
• Investigate and resolve compliance issues or grievances promptly.
• Deliver training on HR policies and compliance to staff and management.
• Maintain knowledge of labour legislation changes and advise on impact.
