Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote HR Compliance Officer to ensure adherence to SA labour laws and HR regulations across operations. The role focuses on developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance programs, conducting audits, and providing guidance on best practices in a remote-first environment.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Law or HR, 5+ years in HR compliance, and deep knowledge of BCEA, LRA, EEA, BBBEE codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Human Resources, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in HR compliance, risk management, or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of South African labour law, including BCEA, LRA, EEA, and BBBEE codes.
• Experience in developing and implementing compliance frameworks and conducting audits.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive HR compliance programs and policies.
• Conduct regular audits of HR practices to ensure compliance with South African labour laws and other regulations.
• Stay abreast of changes in employment legislation and update policies and procedures accordingly.
• Investigate compliance issues, conduct risk assessments, and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide training and guidance to employees and management on compliance-related matters.
• Manage the company's BBBEE compliance initiatives and reporting.
