Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a diligent HR Generalist with a focus on compliance and administration to support our client’s South African operations. The role emphasizes labour law adherence, accurate records, and efficient HR processes in East London, Eastern Cape.

You will maintain HR records, manage compliance documentation, assist with policies and statutory reporting, and support HR projects while delivering reliable service to employees and the HR team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or National Diploma in Human Resources Management or related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in HR generalist or HR administration with a compliance focus.
• Solid understanding of South African labour legislation and HR best practices.
• Experience with HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with South African labour laws and regulations (BCEA, LRA, EEA, SDA).
• Maintain accurate employee records (physical and electronic).
• Administer HR documentation (contracts, policies, files).
• Support HR policies and procedures development and implementation.
• Assist with statutory reports (e.g., EE reports).
• Respond to employee queries on HR policies and benefits.
• Support HR projects and system implementations.
