Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote IT Support Technician to provide essential technical assistance to users from a remote work environment. You will diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues to minimize productivity disruption.

You will be the first point of contact for IT queries, delivering timely solutions via phone, email, and remote desktop tools, while supporting onboarding and offboarding and maintaining accurate ticket records.

Qualifications

Experience as an IT Support Technician, preferably in a remote setting.
Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS), and common business applications.
Proficiency with remote support tools and ticketing systems.
Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Provide remote technical support for hardware, software, and network issues experienced by users.
Diagnose and resolve IT problems efficiently, utilizing remote desktop tools and diagnostic software.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems, applications, and peripheral devices.
Respond to help desk tickets, prioritizing and escalating issues as necessary.
Maintain accurate records of user interactions, issues, and resolutions in the ticketing system.
Assist with IT onboarding and offboarding processes for new and departing employees.
