Placements24 is seeking a proactive Virtual Helpdesk Analyst to join a distributed IT team. The role is entirely remote, supporting employees across the organization from Vereeniging, with focus on troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues and minimizing downtime for productivity.

The ideal candidate has proven helpdesk experience, solid Windows/macOS knowledge, and strong communication skills to thrive in a virtual environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Helpdesk Analyst or similar IT support role, with a strong remote work history.
• Proficiency with Windows/macOS operating systems and common business applications.
• Experience with remote desktop support tools and ticketing systems.
• Solid understanding of network protocols and troubleshooting techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively in a remote setup.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Respond to user requests for technical assistance via phone, email, and chat.
• Install, configure, and update software and operating systems.
• Diagnose and resolve technical problems efficiently and accurately.
• Document all support activities, solutions, and system configurations.
• Assist with IT asset management and inventory control in a virtual setting.
