Placements24 seeks a seasoned Financial Controller to lead all accounting, reporting, internal controls, and financial strategy for operations based near Rustenburg but fully remote across South Africa.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of accounting/finance experience, 3+ years in a senior role within manufacturing, and professional qualifications such as CA(SA)/ACCA/CIMA. Strong ERP and cost accounting knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CA(SA), ACCA, or CIMA preferred.
• 7+ years progressive accounting/finance experience; 3+ years in senior role.
• Manufacturing sector experience essential; cost accounting knowledge.
• Proficient in SAP/Oracle and advanced Excel.
• Solid IFRS, SA tax, and corporate governance knowledge.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Self-disciplined for fully remote work.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee all accounting operations (GL, AP, AR, payroll, cost accounting).
• Develop accounting policies and procedures for compliance and efficiency.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements for management and external stakeholders.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes.
• Maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accuracy.
• Oversee tax compliance and engage with external advisors as needed.
• Conduct profitability, cost-reduction, and investment analyses.
• Manage relationships with banks and auditors; lead finance team.
