Placements24 is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance function for a rapidly growing international e-commerce business. This fully remote role is based anywhere in South Africa.

You will oversee FP&A, budgeting, IFRS compliance, and reporting, while guiding a remote finance team. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years in financial leadership, with a CA(SA)/ACCA/CMA qualification, strong analytics, and a track record of strategic financial execution to support global

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Professional qualification (CA(SA), ACCA, CMA) mandatory.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive financial management, 3+ in a Controller or leadership role.
• Extensive IFRS experience and international accounting standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial operations including accounting, FP&A, treasury and compliance.
• Develop strategic financial plans and budgets to drive growth.
• Lead month-end and year-end close under IFRS and deliver reports.
• Prepare financial statements and management reports for executives.
• Maintain robust internal controls and risk management.
