Job summary

Abantu Staffing Solutions seeks a seasoned financial accounting professional to lead plant-specific financial reporting and cost management within a manufacturing environment. You will provide strategic financial analysis, ensure IFRS compliance, and drive improvements across capex, stock, and reporting processes.

The role collaborates with production, procurement and sales to integrate financial goals into business decisions and requires strong forecasting and risk management capabilities.

Qualifications

• BCom or National Diploma in Financial Accounting is required.
• CIMA certification is required or in progress.
• Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and cost management in manufacturing.
• Experience in compliance, risk management, and forecasting.
• Proficient in data analysis and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Compile and provide accurate and timely financial information to plants for informed decisions.
• Provide financial analysis and support to management and operations.
• Monitor and support debtors and creditors; maintain asset registers.
• Control inter-company balances and review weekly payroll.
• Review and act on variances (budget/forecast) and balance sheet variances.
• Ensure IFRS compliance and manage Capex / tooling reports.
• Prepare financial packs for internal/external use and month-end close.
• Oversee cash management, budgeting, and costings; manage stock and variances.
• Coordinate audits (year-end and statutory) and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead monthly and weekly financial reporting and KPI analysis.
• Coach and develop team; ensure safe, compliant, and productive work environment.
