Placements24 is seeking an experienced Financial Controller for a remote position with a global tech startup. You will lead accounting, reporting, and controls, ensuring IFRS compliance and robust financial systems.

The role requires a CA(SA) or equivalent, 8–10 years of accounting experience, and proven leadership of remote teams. Strong ERP, finance software and Excel skills are essential for success in a fast-paced, remote environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• CA(SA) or equivalent professional credential is mandatory.
• 8–10 years of progressive accounting experience with supervisory exposure.

Responsabilités

• Direct all accounting operations including AP/AR, GL, and payroll.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual IFRS financial statements.
• Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting policies.
• Oversee budgeting and forecasting with strategic insight.
• Manage cash flow and treasury functions.
• Ensure compliance with local and international tax rules.
• Lead external audits and liaise with auditors.
• Drive process improvements using technology.
• Mentor and develop the accounting team.
• Provide financial analysis to senior management.
