Placements24 is seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Manager to lead a remote reporting function for a growing international services company in South Africa. You will oversee IFRS-compliant financial statements, close processes, and internal controls while mentoring a team of accountants.

You must hold a CA(SA)/ACCA/CIMA, with 7+ years of financial reporting experience and strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills, able to work effectively in a distributed remote team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Professional qualification (CA(SA), ACCA, CIMA) mandatory.
• Minimum 7 years in financial reporting, with at least 3 years in management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual IFRS financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and policies.
• Manage financial close and consolidation processes.
• Develop and maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting.
• Coordinate with external auditors during audits.
• Lead and mentor a team of financial accountants.
• Analyze results and prepare management commentary and insights.
• Implement and improve reporting systems and processes.
• Stay updated with IFRS and SEC developments.
• Support development of new accounting policies.
