Placements24 is seeking a Senior Financial Controller for a fully remote role within South Africa. You will oversee financial operations, ensure IFRS compliance, and drive process improvements across business units. The position requires 7+ years in accounting/control, with strong analytical and communication skills.

You will manage month-end close, prepare management reports, and support budgeting and audits while mentoring junior staff in a high-performance, remote-friendly culture.

Qualificações

• 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting and financial control, with tech/e-commerce exposure.
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS and SA accounting/tax legislation.
• Experience managing month-end close and financial reporting processes.
• Ability to implement and enhance internal controls and drive process improvements.

Responsabilidades

• Lead financial operations for designated business segments, including month-end close and reporting.
• Ensure IFRS compliance and local statutory requirements.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets.
• Drive automation in accounting and financial reporting processes.
• Prepare timely financial statements and management reports for stakeholders.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations with recommendations.
• Collaborate with auditors and support audit processes.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities with data-driven insights.
