Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Field Service Technician or similar role with network focus.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing and switching.
• Experience with Cisco, Juniper or similar enterprise network gear.
• Diagnose hardware and software issues across operating systems.
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
• Ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work remotely.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

About the Role

Our client, a global leader in telecommunications and network solutions, is seeking a highly motivated and technically adept Remote Field Service Technician to join their expanding team. While this is a remote role, it requires extensive travel to customer sites as needed for installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure. You will be the primary point of contact for resolving complex technical issues on-site, ensuring the seamless operation of our client's cutting-edge network equipment. Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installations, upgrades, and maintenance of network hardware, including routers, switches, servers, and wireless access points.
• Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and connectivity issues affecting network performance.
• Conduct routine system checks and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Provide expert technical support and guidance to clients during and after installations.
• Document all service activities, including troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and client feedback, in the company's CRM system.
• Escalate unresolved issues to senior technical teams or engineering departments when necessary.
• Maintain an inventory of spare parts and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels for service calls.
• Adhere to all company safety protocols and client site-specific security requirements during on-site visits.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Field Service Technician or similar role, with a strong focus on network infrastructure.
• Solid understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), routing, and switching concepts.
• Experience with installation and troubleshooting of Cisco, Juniper, or similar enterprise-grade network equipment.
• Proficiency in diagnosing hardware and software issues on various operating systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple tasks and locations.
• Willingness to travel extensively as required by the role.
