Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a creative and highly organized Remote Event Planner to conceptualize, plan, and execute a variety of events for stakeholders. Based in Sandton but operating in a fully remote setting, you will collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure events align with strategic goals and exceed expectations.

The role requires proven experience in remote event management, strong organizational skills, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Proven experience planning and executing remote events.
• Strong budgeting and cost-control abilities.
• Vendor sourcing, negotiation, and contract management.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and oral communication for stakeholders.
• Proficiency with event software and virtual collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, plan, and manage all event logistics including budget, venue, catering, A/V, and staffing.
• Develop detailed timelines and project plans with milestones.
• Source and negotiate with vendors to secure best rates and services.
• Manage event marketing and communications to drive attendance and engagement.
• Provide on-site or virtual event support and troubleshooting as needed.
• Conduct post-event evaluations and report on success metrics.
