Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a remote Educational Technology Specialist to evaluate, implement, and support educational technologies that enhance teaching and learning across diverse settings.

You will train educators, create guides and tutorials, and collaborate with IT and curriculum teams to ensure seamless integration of LMS platforms such as Moodle, Blackboard, and Canvas, while staying current with trends in digital learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education Technology, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• At least 4 years of experience in an educational technology support or specialist role.
• Experience with LMS platforms (Moodle/Blackboard/Canvas) and educational software.
• Strong understanding of pedagogical principles and how tech supports learning.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills and ability to train diverse audiences.
• Experience developing training materials and conducting workshops.
• Ability to work independently, manage time, and stay productive in a remote setting.
• Familiarity with online collaboration tools (Zoom, MS Teams, Google Workspace).

Responsibilities

• Research, evaluate, and recommend new educational technologies and tools.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for educational software and hardware.
• Develop and deliver training sessions and workshops for educators.
• Create user guides, tutorials, and other support materials.
• Collaborate with IT and curriculum teams to integrate technologies smoothly.
• Assist in LMS implementation and rollout.
• Monitor technology usage and gather feedback for improvement.
• Stay updated on emerging trends in educational technology and digital learning.
• Promote ethical use of technology in education.
• Contribute to the institution's digital learning strategy.
