Job summary
Placements24 is seeking a Remote Educational Technology Specialist to support and enhance our online learning environment. You will provide technical support, troubleshoot LMS issues, and train educators on Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard, and related tools, enabling effective digital teaching in a fully remote setup.
Based from a Mahikeng-based setup, you will collaborate with IT and vendors, stay current with edtech trends, and help implement accessible digital learning resources.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, or Education Technology.
- 4+ years in educational tech support or a similar role.
- Strong LMS knowledge (Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard).
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to faculty, staff, and students on edtech tools.
- Troubleshoot LMS, video conferencing, and digital content issues.
- Develop and deliver educator training sessions.
- Evaluate and recommend new educational technologies.
- Assist in integrating edtech into online courses.
- Maintain knowledge base and documentation.
- Collaborate with IT and vendors.
- Stay updated on edtech trends.
- Contribute to institutional policies on edtech.
- Ensure accessibility of digital learning resources.
