Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Educational Technology Specialist for a fully remote role based in Paarl, Western Cape. You will integrate technology into teaching and learning, provide staff and student training, and help develop digital learning resources across the institution.

The ideal candidate has a strong LMS background, digital pedagogy expertise, and excellent communication. Remote work in South Africa with focus on innovative learning experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Educational Technology, IT, CS or related field.
• Master's degree is advantageous.
• Minimum 3 years in educational technology support or specialist role.
• Proficient with LMS platforms and digital pedagogy.

Responsibilities

• Support LMS implementation and usage across the institution.
• Provide tech assistance and training to faculty, staff and students.
• Develop and deliver workshops on effective use of educational technology.
• Troubleshoot issues related to educational platforms.
• Collaborate with instructional designers to create digital content.
• Research and recommend new educational technologies.
• Assist in managing the digital learning environment.
• Stay updated on trends and best practices in educational tech.
• Contribute to policies on technology use in education.
