Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Educational Technology Integration Specialist to drive the adoption of online learning tools across diverse subjects. This remote-first role focuses on guiding educators, developing resources, and implementing digital tools to enhance online lessons.

You will lead LMS administration, train teachers, and stay ahead of trends in educational technology, ensuring effective online and blended learning across teams in South Africa.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Proven experience in educational technology support or instructional design.
• In-depth knowledge of LMS platforms (Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard).
• Strong understanding of pedagogical principles for online and blended learning.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Experience developing training materials and conducting workshops.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team.

Responsibilities

• Support and train educators on effective integration of educational technologies into online courses.
• Research, evaluate, and recommend new educational technologies and digital tools.
• Develop and maintain a repository of best practices, tutorials, and resources.
• Collaborate with curriculum developers and instructional designers to embed technology into learning materials.
• Troubleshoot and provide technical support to educators and students regarding platforms and tools.
• Facilitate online workshops and webinars on ed-tech topics.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends in educational technology and online learning.
• Assist in LMS implementation and administration.
• Contribute to policies and guidelines related to educational technology use.
• Evaluate effectiveness of technology integration strategies and provide improvements.
