About the Role

Our client, a rapidly expanding online retailer, is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Remote E-commerce Operations Manager to lead their digital fulfillment and logistics operations. You will be responsible for optimizing the entire e-commerce supply chain, from order processing and inventory management to shipping and returns. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimize all e-commerce operational processes, including order fulfillment, inventory management, shipping, and returns.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve delivery times.
• Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and shipping carriers to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
• Implement and manage robust inventory control systems to maintain accurate stock levels and prevent stockouts or overstocking.
• Analyze operational data to identify bottlenecks, areas for improvement, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all e-commerce operations.
• Collaborate with customer service, marketing, and IT teams to ensure a seamless customer experience from order placement to delivery.
• Manage the returns process, ensuring efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Lead and mentor a remote team of operations specialists.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies in e-commerce logistics and fulfillment.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an E-commerce Operations Manager or in a similar senior logistics role, with a strong focus on online retail.
• In-depth knowledge of e-commerce fulfillment, supply chain management, and inventory control principles.
• Experience managing 3PL relationships and negotiating carrier contracts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive operational decisions.
• Proficiency in e-commerce platforms and logistics management software.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, particularly in a remote work setting.
