Qualifications

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking an experienced and highly organized Senior E-commerce Operations Manager to lead and optimize their online fulfillment and logistics operations. This is a 100% remote position, demanding exceptional leadership and strategic planning skills to ensure the seamless delivery of products to customers nationwide. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the e-commerce supply chain, from inventory management and order processing to shipping, returns, and customer service coordination. You will play a key role in driving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing the overall customer experience in the digital space. As a remote leader, you will leverage advanced communication and project management tools to collaborate with internal teams, third-party logistics providers, and other stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategic plans for e-commerce operations, focusing on efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. Oversee all aspects of inventory management, including forecasting, stock level optimization, and warehouse coordination. Manage the order fulfillment process from order placement to final delivery, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Establish and maintain strong relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, carriers, and vendors. Implement and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all e-commerce operational functions. Monitor key operational metrics (e.g., on-time delivery, order accuracy, return rates) and identify areas for improvement. Lead and mentor a team of remote operational staff, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance. Manage the returns and exchange process, ensuring a smooth and customer-friendly experience. Collaborate with IT to ensure the effective integration and utilization of e-commerce platforms and systems. Stay ahead of industry trends and best practices in e-commerce logistics and supply chain management.

Requirements

Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in e-commerce operations and supply chain management, with a significant portion in a leadership capacity. Proven experience managing remote teams and complex, multi-location logistics operations. In-depth knowledge of inventory management systems, WMS, OMS, and TMS. Demonstrated success in optimizing fulfillment processes and reducing operational costs. Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in data analysis. Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills suitable for a remote environment. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting. Experience with international shipping and customs regulations is a plus.
