Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a vigilant Cyber Security Analyst to join a fully remote security team. You will monitor, detect, and respond to threats, investigate incidents, and strengthen defenses in a remote-first environment.

Responsibilities include monitoring alerts from SIEM and endpoints, performing incident analysis, vulnerability scans, policy development, and collaboration with IT to implement controls. A strong analytical mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field.
• 2–4 years in cybersecurity or information security.
• Familiarity with SIEM platforms and vulnerability assessment tools.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+ are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and events from SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoints.
• Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and recommend mitigations.
• Conduct regular vulnerability scans and report weaknesses.
• Help develop and refine security policies and playbooks.
• Assist threat intelligence gathering and proactive risk analysis.
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to implement controls.
• Participate in incident response to ensure swift breach resolution.
