Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a vigilant Cybersecurity Analyst to join a fully remote security team. You will monitor networks and systems, identify threats, respond to incidents, and help develop and enforce security protocols from a home office.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity or related field and at least 3 years of cybersecurity experience. CISSP, Security+, or CEH certifications are highly desirable as you protect critical digital assets in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information security.
• Proficiency with security tools and technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection platforms.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and common attack vectors.
• Experience in incident response and forensic analysis is a plus.
• Certs such as CISSP, Security+, or CEH are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and logs using SIEM tools to detect and respond to threats in real-time.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security risks.
• Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard company data and systems.
• Respond to security incidents, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
• Provide security awareness training to employees to foster a security-conscious culture.
