Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Information Security Analyst to join a distributed team supporting South Africa. You will monitor security systems, analyze threats, and ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets from a remote location.

As a fully remote employee, you will work independently, leveraging technology to protect our digital environment, collaborating with colleagues across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, cybersecurity, or related field.
• 2-4 years in information security analysis or similar.
• Familiarity with SIEM, vulnerability scanning, and incident response.
• Strong communication for remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security infrastructure (firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus) for threats.
• Analyze security logs and alerts to identify suspicious activity and breaches.
• Respond to incidents and coordinate remediation with stakeholders.
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend security controls improvements.
• Develop and maintain security awareness training materials for employees.
• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and standards.
