Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Cyber Security Analyst specializing in Threat Detection to join a fully remote team. You will identify and respond to cyber threats across the organization’s network and systems, leveraging SIEM, EDR, and threat intel to protect sensitive information.

The role requires 3+ years in cyber security operations, strong analytical skills, and experience with log analysis and forensics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of cyber security operations, threat analysis, or incident response.
• Proficiency with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and threat intel feeds.
• Strong understanding of attack vectors, malware behavior and network protocols.
• Experience with log analysis and forensic investigations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security events and alerts from SIEM, IDS/IPS, and EDR sources.
• Analyze threats to determine nature, scope and impact.
• Investigate security incidents and produce detailed reports.
• Develop and tune detection rules and analytics to improve threat identification.
• Stay updated on emerging threats, attack vectors and defensive techniques.
• Collaborate with incident response to coordinate containment and eradication.
