Placements24 is seeking a highly motivated Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to join a globally distributed, remote-first team. The role focuses on threat detection, incident response, and proactive security measures to strengthen the organization’s security posture.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity analysis, strong SIEM/EDR/IDS skills, and the ability to mentor junior analysts in a remote environment. Remote-first work setup and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity analysis, incident response, or threat intelligence.
• Proficiency in using SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, and other security monitoring tools.
• Strong understanding of threat intelligence, malware analysis, and digital forensics.
• Experience with scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills suited for a remote team.

Responsibilities

• Lead threat hunting activities and proactively identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
• Analyze complex security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate effective incident response efforts.
• Develop and implement advanced security monitoring and detection strategies using SIEM and other security tools.
• Create detailed reports on security incidents, trends, and recommendations for management.
• Stay current with emerging threats, attack vectors, and cybersecurity technologies.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the continuous improvement of security operations processes.
