Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Chemical Process Design Engineer for a fully remote role. You will conceptualize and develop robust, scalable chemical processes for new projects and plant expansions, leveraging your expertise in process simulation, equipment design, and safety principles.

You will produce PFDs and P&IDs, specify reactors and heat exchangers, run simulations to optimize cost and safety, and prepare detailed design reports.

Qualifications

Master's or PhD in Chemical Engineering.
7+ years of process design experience.
Expert in Aspen Plus or HYSYS and CAD software.
Strong thermodynamics and reaction engineering knowledge.
Experience with process safety standards and remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

Lead conceptual design of new chemical processes and plants.
Develop PFDs and P&IDs with accurate specs.
Specify reactors, heat exchangers, pumps, and separation units.
Run process simulations to optimize efficiency and safety.
Prepare technical docs and scopes of work; support safety compliance.
