Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Chemical Process Engineer to join a remote-first, collaborative team. You will lead complex process design, optimization, and implementation projects from conception through execution, acting as a technical advisor on safety standards and best practices across locations.
You will mentor junior engineers, oversee process safety management, and manage capital projects from concept to commissioning, ensuring rigorous design reviews and cost-effective
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Chemical Engineering
- 10+ years of experience in process engineering and project management
- Knowledge of process simulation, P&ID development and HAZOP studies
- Strong leadership and remote-work capabilities
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of intricate chemical processes, ensuring optimal performance and compliance.
- Oversee process safety management (PSM) activities, including hazard identification and risk assessment.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams.
- Manage process engineering aspects of capital projects, from conceptual design to commissioning.
- Conduct rigorous technical reviews of process designs, P&IDs, and equipment specifications.
- Optimize existing plant operations for increased efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
