Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical and innovative Chemical Process Optimization Engineer to join their fully remote operations team. The role focuses on improving efficiency, yield, and sustainability of chemical processes through data analysis and advanced control strategies.

You will work with a global team, using digital tools and sophisticated modeling to identify improvements, implement solutions, and monitor performance from a remote setting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or PhD in a related field with focus on process control or optimization
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in chemical process optimization, data analysis, and advanced control
• Proficiency in process simulation software and data analysis/machine learning tools

Responsibilities

• Analyze process data to identify opportunities for optimization in terms of efficiency, energy consumption, and waste reduction
• Develop and implement advanced process control (APC) strategies and algorithms
• Utilize simulation and modeling software to test and validate optimization solutions before deployment
• Collaborate with plant engineers and operators to understand process challenges and implement solutions
• Monitor the performance of optimized processes and provide ongoing support
• Stay abreast of the latest technologies and methodologies in process optimization and digital transformation
